Lead Translator

I’m the Lead Translator in the team and have been with the company since 2006. Before I joined, I got my undergraduate MA in German and French from the University of St Andrews – which included an Erasmus placement in Bonn, Germany – and then pursued an MA in Translating at the University of Salford.

Since starting out as a trainee, I’ve also become a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, winning the Institute’s John Hayes Award for the translation I produced in the membership examination. I never predicted that I’d end up in technical and commercial translation, but I absolutely love it because of the sheer variety of subjects you encounter each day, and the ability to combine attention to detail with the craft of writing.

When I’m not at my desk, I enjoy playing the piano and guitar, running, and learning Finnish.
